About the Role

HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. is seeking a skilled Transformers Services Portfolio Manager to oversee the company's transformers services portfolio in North America. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of the transformers services market and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new transformers services offerings or improvements to existing products.
  • Develop product strategies that align with the company's business goals, including setting pricing and positioning strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to develop and launch new transformers services offerings.
  • Monitor and report on transformers services offerings performance, using data to inform decisions about product development and strategy.
  • Coordinate the product lifecycle with the global product management team, from initial concept to end-of-life.
  • Provide recommendations about product development and discontinuation based on North American market data.
  • Live HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC.'s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
  • Have a strong understanding of the theory of operation and construction of transformers, current transformers, bushings, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
  • Work authorization that would permit you to work for HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. in Canada.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in product management, preferably in the transformers services industry.
  • Strong understanding of the transformers services market and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30% of the time.
