Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at WJ Groundwater Canada Ltd. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, including hydraulic pumps, drills, and other machinery.

Job Summary:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
  • Inspect and diagnose equipment malfunctions
  • Adjust and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep detailed maintenance records and reports
  • Oversee safety of operations and ensure compliance with regulations
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Welding experience
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform other routine maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults
  • Refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts
  • Perform routine maintenance work on water well drilling rigs and equipment
  • Oversee safety of operations
  • Make emergency repairs to equipment
  • Maintain detailed repair, inspection and certification records and reports
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 5 years or more of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
