Overview:

ProViso Staffing is seeking a skilled Cloud Database Administrator to support our Cloud Engineering initiatives. This role is integral to the development of our cloud platform, focusing on Kubernetes and enhancing logging, monitoring, and chargeback processes.

Project Insight:

The Cloud Acceleration Program aims to transition virtual machines from a private cloud environment to Google Cloud environments. This extensive project will span several years, emphasizing the modernization of our development practices and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead tasks from inception to completion, engaging with stakeholders to evaluate technology options and alternatives.
  • Oversee the management, development, and maintenance of cloud platforms to ensure secure enterprise-wide public cloud usage.
  • Provide technical leadership for components of larger products.
  • Implement and refine code in languages such as Go and Python.
  • Ensure that software and applications meet high standards of availability, integrity, reliability, security, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to scope and estimate tasks effectively.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of application teams onto the cloud platform.
  • Participate in planning sessions and daily stand-ups within an Agile framework.
  • Build and maintain highly available and scalable software and infrastructure.
Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with database technologies including SQL, Cloud SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) being advantageous.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and Unix administration.

Education:

A Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required.
