Key Responsibilities- Provide Technical Leadership: Plan and execute complex technical tasks and provide technical leadership and guidance to team members.
- OCI Setup and Support: Provide and influence architectural direction on OCI setup and provide support and implementation of Applications in OCI.
- Problem Management: Identify, manage, and resolve problems related to database administration.
- Cloud Architecture: Design and implement hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, delivering secure modular architecture.
- Database Services: Design, implement, and operate Oracle Database Services in OCI.
- Workload Migration: Migrate workloads, databases, and data to OCI.
- Virtual Cloud Networks: Implement and manage Virtual Cloud Networks.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and manage best security practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Database Backup and Recovery: Plan, test, and perform database backup and recovery operations.
- Software Upgrades: Plan, test, and perform software upgrades.
- Database Loads and Data Conversion: Assist with database loads and data conversion activities.
- Service Requests: Resolve service requests related to database administration.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Database Administrator in a LINUX/UNIX environment.
- Cloud Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience working in a cloud environment.
- Oracle Experience: Experience working with Oracle and Oracle E-Business Suite application experience.
- Technical Skills: Experience with RHEL Linux, shell scripting, and programming languages such as Perl or Python.
- Education: Related degree and OCI certification will be an asset.
