Job Summary

Extreme Networks is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Administrator to join our team. As a Cloud Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based database systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and highly available database architectures on cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain database schema, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring optimal query execution and data retrieval.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain database backup and recovery procedures, ensuring business continuity.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging database technologies and trends, recommending improvements to our database infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in database administration, with a focus on cloud-based databases.
  • Expert-level knowledge of database management systems, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks.
