About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist to join our team in the Clinical Pharmacy department. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide direct pharmaceutical care to inpatients and outpatients, including patient counseling, medication monitoring, and student mentoring.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital pharmacy practice, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $43.67 - $53.24 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of a recognized School of Pharmacy
  • Eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists
  • Completion of a Hospital pharmacy residency program and/or equivalent related direct patient care experience (minimal 2 years) in a hospital setting
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Knowledge of medication patient safety therapeutics
  • Knowledge of medication patient safety concepts
  • Experience in evidence-based clinical research
  • Strong teaching ability/experience
  • Experience in critical appraisal of scientific literature
  • Proven effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experience as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Ability to prioritize work responsibilities and to work well under time pressures
  • Demonstrated interest in professional development and lifelong learning
  • Competencies in other languages (French preferred)
Hours

This is a permanent, part-time position with 37.5 hours bi-weekly.
