Job Title: Registered Nurse - Casual Float Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Casual Float Pool team at St. Joseph's Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to patients on the medical-surgical unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Current Certificate of Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Current CPR Certificate.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within all clinical settings at the St. Joseph's Hospital site.
  • Experience within neurolocomotor services considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work.

Condition of Employment:

  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
  • Offers of employment made to external candidates are conditional upon providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per the or proof of valid medical exemption, prior to the offered effective date. If proof of vaccination or valid medical exemption is not provided, the offer of employment is rescinded.
