Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at St. Joseph's Hospital. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Certificate of Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Recent physical assessment and pharmacology courses.
  • Current knowledge and demonstrated ability to work with designated population.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with the team.
  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work.

Condition of Employment:

  • This position is conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
  • Offers of employment made to external candidates are conditional upon providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per the or proof of valid medical exemption, prior to the offered effective date. If proof of vaccination or valid medical exemption is not provided, the offer of employment is rescinded.
