About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team at NS Metal Fabrication Co. Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of metal fabrication and welding services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Execution
    • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure accurate execution.
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Quality Control
    • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
    • Determine weldability of materials and recommend suitable alternatives.
  • Maintenance and Equipment Operation
    • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
    • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Material Handling and Safety
    • Handle and store materials in a safe and organized manner.
    • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to company safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent in a related field.
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in metal fabrication and welding.
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment
    • Physically demanding work environment with frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
    • Confined spaces and noisy work areas.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client focus and attention to detail.
    • Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.
    • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
