About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team at AUTOLINX EXPRESS INC. in a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using previously set-up welding machines.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail and hand-eye co-ordination.
  • Standing for extended periods and physically demanding work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility and organized.
  • Team player with a recognized employer.
Work Environment

Commercial work setting with a focus on custom fabrication, auto repair, truck repair, machinery or equipment repair and large diameter pipelines.
