Artistic Director Opportunity

Propeller Dance, a pioneering Canadian dance organization, seeks a visionary leader to drive its artistic direction and success. As Artistic Director, you will oversee the development and implementation of inclusive dance and inter-arts performances, emphasizing the abilities and creativity of all dancers.

About Propeller Dance

We are a leader in the field of disability and dance, creating, teaching, performing, and presenting innovative and inclusive productions. Our mission is to celebrate the diversity of human experience and promote accessibility in the arts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute artistic vision and strategy for Propeller Dance
  • Lead a team of dancers, choreographers, and artists to create and perform inclusive productions
  • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to promote accessibility and inclusivity in the arts
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure the success of artistic initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in the disability dance space or a related field
  • Strong artistic vision and ability to drive creative initiatives
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
