The Cost Specialist/Engineer for Sustaining Capital will be responsible for developing the overall cost control plan, monitoring and controlling all project cost elements and deviations to ensure the project cost objectives are aligned with the overall project (AFE) objectives. Supervises and provides technical direction for all cost activities for all phases of the assigned projects. Further responsible for the proactive use of owner resources in ensuring effective change management.
- Typically, 5+ years of related industry experience in Project Cost Control engineering, construction, and brownfield projects within the oil and gas industry;
- Engineering Degree or relevant technical designation;
- Familiarity with and understanding of:
- Procedures, processes development and project management principles;
- Project Schedule interpretation, manpower ramps usage for building cost trends;
- Industry specific applications (Prism, Maximo, MS Office);
- Estimating and Quantity Surveying experience would be an asset;
- Experience on an Owner Team would be an asset.
