What You Will be Doing:

Under the supervision of the Design & Construction Engineer:

- Assist with field investigations of municipal infrastructure and capital projects.
- Assist with the collection and processing of data for municipal infrastructure and capital projects.
- Assist with data input using ACCESS database and spreadsheets such as Excel.
- Perform other general related duties as assigned.

These responsibilities outline the principal functions of the position and serve as a guiding vision for the role's impact and contribution.

About You:

Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering or related program.
- Valid driver's license (G2 or G), a reliable vehicle, and good driving record.
- CSA approved work boots are required for construction sites.

Skills:

- Well-developed written and verbal skills.
- Working knowledge of computer software applications AutoDesk Civil3D and Microsoft Word, ACCESS, and Excel.
- Knowledge of GIS applications is an asset.

Other Requirements:

- Willing to work both in an office environment and field work (construction sites).
- Physically fit to perform field work.
- Residents of St. Catharines area preferred or must be willing to commute or temporarily relocate.
- Proven completion of Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness training.
- A demonstrated commitment to enhancing a safety culture.
