Anticipated Shift: Days;Standby coverage as required, On Call Work Arrangement: In Person Daily Hours Worked: 7.75 Annual Base Hours: 2015 Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient‑centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province‑wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Experience - Minimum four years recent related nursing experience required. - Adult Intensive Care nursing course or equivalent, required. - Experience and interest in professional/public education preferred. - Competency with computers and presentation programs, (such as EPR, eChart, EMR, Accuro and Microsoft Office) required. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) - Graduate from an approved School of Nursing required. - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. Certification/Licensure/Registration - Current registration or eligibility for registration with College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM). Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM). - Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred. - Basic Life Support (BLS) registration at the targeted responder level required. - Must have current driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with valid registration. Qualifications and Skills - Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA). - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work independently and creatively; as well as the ability work collaboratively and closely with other members of the health profession. - Ability to negotiate and facilitate consensus within the donation and transplantation stakeholder community, as well as knowledge in the area of quality improvement. - Demonstrated ability to problem‑solve in complex situations. - Evidence of knowledge of the principles of adult learning and teaching strategies. - Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development. - Initiates and supports change and process improvements. - Demonstrated leadership ability. - Sensitive to spiritual, cultural and other relevant contexts of care. - Ability to interpret and communicate complex information to families in difficult situations within the Critical Care or Emergency Department environment.
