Committed to Clan Mothers Turtle Lodge and Clan Mothers Healing Village’s strategic vision and values, the **Donor Grants Administrator** (DGA) will report to the Clan Mothers Vision Keeper and Operations Manager. The Donor Grants Administrator plays a pivotal role in managing the lifecycle of grants received from various donors and the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities. The primary responsibilities include coordinating grant proposals, managing grant funds/pledge agreements, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and facilitating effective communications between internal stakeholders and external donors.

Working closely with Clan Mothers’ leadership team, key responsibilities and job duties include to identify, create, cultivate, engage and implement the organization’s donor and fundraising management strategy, build and maintain relationships with donors, funders and community, seek grant funding opportunities with foundations, federal, provincial and municipal governments, grant writing, research and evaluation, maintain a grants database management system, and assist in the preparation and submission of narrative reporting to donors and funders.

**PRIMARY JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES**

The primary job duties and responsibilities are shown below:

- **Grant Proposal Development**: Collaborate with program staff to develop compelling grant proposals tailored to the priorities and requirements of prospective funders. This involves researching funding opportunities, drafting proposals, and ensuring alignment with donor guidelines and objectives.
- **Grant Management**: Assist with the administration of grant funds, prepare pledge agreements, and timely accurate submission of financial and narrative reports to donors.
- **Donor Regulations & Compliance**: Stay updated on donor regulations and requirements to ensure adherence throughout the grant lifecycle. Assist with the maintenance of meticulous records and documentation to facilitate audits and compliance reviews.
- **Fundraising Strategy**: Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the organization's mission, goals, and financial needs. This involves analyzing past fundraising efforts, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and setting clear objectives and benchmarks for future fundraising initiatives.
- **Donor Research and Identification**: Conduct research to identify potential individual, corporate, foundation, and institutional donors whose interests and priorities align with the organization's mission and programs. Utilize databases, networks, and prospect research tools to identify and prioritize prospects for cultivation and solicitation.
- **Donor Cultivation and Stewardship**: Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors through personalized communication, engagement opportunities, and stewardship activities. This includes regular donor updates, acknowledgment of contributions, and opportunities for donor recognition and involvement in the organization's activities.
- **Special Events Management**: Plan and execute special events, such as fundraising galas, charity auctions, and donor appreciation events, to cultivate donor relationships, raise funds, and increase visibility for the organization. Coordinate logistics, recruit volunteers, and oversee event promotion and attendee engagement.
- **Direct Mail and Digital Fundraising Campaigns**: Develop and implement direct mail and digital fundraising campaigns to solicit donations from individuals, businesses, and other supporters. This includes designing fundraising appeals, managing mailing lists, and analyzing campaign performance metrics to optimize future efforts.
- **Major Gifts Solicitation**: Identify and cultivate major gift prospects capable of making significant financial contributions to the organization. Develop personalized cultivation and solicitation strategies.
- **Planned Giving Program**: Develop and promote a planned giving program to encourage donors to include the organization in their estate plans through bequests, trusts, and other planned giving vehicles. Provide information and support to donors interested in making planned gifts, and steward legacy donors and their families.
- **Fundraising Analytics and Reporting**: Utilize fundraising and data analytics tools to track and analyze fundraising performance, donor trends, and return on investment for various fundraising activities. Generate regular reports for organizational leadership and board of directors and use data insights to inform future fundraising strategies and decision-making.
