**Position Summary**:
Under the direction of the Director, Donor Relations, the Donor Relations Coordinator is
responsible for providing professional administrative support to the Donor Relations department.
This support includes updating the donor database, prospecting for online auction prizes, writing
WHS website for updates and accuracy. They will also be responsible for executing donor
stewardship tasks including mailing commemorative cards, preparing letters, and assisting with
recognition events.
This position is privy to confidential financial information surrounding donations, fundraising,
budgets, and donor data. Although this position will require in-person office work most of the time,
there may be an opportunity to work from home periodically.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Provide support to the Donor Relations Officers by preparing invoices, updating
sponsorship and gift agreements, and updating pledges in Raiser’s Edge
- Executes event management tasks as requested such as researching suppliers, contacting
vendors for quotes, managing RSVPs, ensuring sponsorship agreements are fulfilled, etc.
- Updating event registrations with accuracy in Raiser’s Edge
- Acts as backup for Stewardship and Events Officer during events
- Prospects and solicits for prizes for various initiatives including online auction
- Writes copy for stewardship projects including Humane Heroes (monthly donors)
newsletter and donor postcards
- Monitors Donor Relations pages of WHS website for updates and accuracy
- Provides support to the Planned Giving program by updating the database, sending out
welcome packages, and assisting with memorial gifts through funeral homes
- Performs mail merges for printing commemorative cards, thank you letters, and other
donor stewardship materials as requested
- Pulls reports from Raiser’s Edge for Officers for stewardship activities such as phone calls
and mailings
- Monitors and stewarding individual third-party events in consultation with the Community
Outreach Officer
- Ensures Raiser’s Edge is accurately reflecting Humane Heroes (monthly donors), Faithful
Forever Society members (Planned Giving), and other donor groups as requested
- Takes minutes at meetings as requested
- Fulfills roles as needed during Donor Relations events
- Provide backup support to the donor processing team by answering telephones, taking
phone donations, and other inquiries.
- Provide additional data entry support as required
- Assists with other duties as assigned

department

Authority to perform all assigned duties and responsibilities within established policies and
procedures.

and responsibilities.
