We’re looking for a Commercial Syndication Analyst to join our team This position is integral to the growth and stability of our organization, playing a critical role in our retail team. We’re looking for an analytical, collaborative professional who excels at evaluating complex financial and real estate data to support sound credit decisions and risk management. You’ll work closely with partners and internal teams to structure and monitor credit facilities, ensure compliance, and drive member-focused solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, contributes to operational improvements, shares expertise, and is committed to ongoing development—including regional travel as needed.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

- Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, projection models, and other relevant financial and non‑financial data to support credit decisions.

- Assess commercial real estate assets using market trends, property performance, and valuation metrics to ensure financing solutions aligned to member objectives.

- Prepare clear, well‑reasoned underwriting that informs decisions on approvals, renewals, and amendments to meet member and partner needs.

- Translate analysis into a concise, focused analytical foundation for sound credit decisions that protect IFCU’s financial position.

- Work with syndication analysts, advisors, and risk teams to structure credit facilities that mitigate risk; act as a key point of contact within the Commercial Syndication team.

- Oversee the existing loan portfolio to ensure compliance, monitor payment performance, and track changes in borrower or market conditions.

- Collaborate with partners to develop effective resolution strategies for monitored account delinquencies, supporting timely, member‑focused outcomes.

- Offer support on other syndication team activities.

- Keep up to date on the state of the economy and the development of various sectors relevant to the Commercial Syndication portfolio, sharing insights with the team.

- Contribute to departmental and cross‑functional projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies.

- Adhere to IFCU policies, practices, and applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

- Engage in ongoing professional development and share specialized knowledge with team members and other departments.

- Perform administrative and process tasks as required to meet organizational needs efficiently and accurately.

- Must have the ability to travel to and cover regionally as required.

- Innovation’s Travel Practice Guidelines will be followed.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Experience with commercial real estate financing (including land, construction, multifamily, office, retail, industrial etc.) will be an asset

- 2–3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or commercial real estate finance

- Strong proficiency in analyzing financial statements

- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite and Power BI

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
