Ottawa, Canada New Democratic Party Full time

- Translate letters, notices, memos, presentations, emails and fundraising communications
- Provide revisions and quality control of materials translated externally
- Director-level administrative support (record-keeping, proofreading, note-taking, transcription and correspondence processing and response)
- Schedule and meeting management
- Information Management: Collecting, organizing, and maintaining confidential and sensitive information. Managing files, records and Sharepoint sites to ensure easy retrieval and accessibility of information as needed
- Serving as a liaison between the Director(s) and various individuals and groups
- Special Projects and Project Coordination as assigned, specifically related to the NDP Leadership Race 2026 and NDP Convention 2026
- Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

- Fluent in English and superior oral and written French language skills
- Degree in translation, or related field, or demonstrated previous translation and/or writing experience
- 3+ years education and/or work experience in administration, office management, project management
- Familiarity with SharePoint or equivalent file-management system
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Proven excellence in verbal and written communications; especially with respect to correspondence
- Experience in a high‑paced environment; comfortable working independently, under short deadlines and with a high degree of self‑direction
- Proven ability to handle highly sensitive and/or confidential information with tact
- Knowledge and familiarity of the NDP and Canadian labour movement is an asset

Terms of contract

$86,767.97 (pro‑rated); Part‑Time 17.5h per week

(as per the Collective Agreement with COPE 225)
