Position Summary

Responsible for reviewing and processing payroll activities accurately and efficiently. Primary responsibilities ensuring compliance with federal payroll regulations within the trucking and logistics industry. Collaborate closely with HR and finance teams to maintain accurate payroll records, resolve payroll discrepancies, and provide excellent support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.

Location: Remote

Schedule: Mon-Fri,40 hours

What you will do

- Accurately review and approve payroll for employees, ensuring timely and error-free payments.
- Submit Workers Comp remittances for all provinces
- Submit Union Dues Monthly
- Submit Pension Plan contributions
- Submit EHT
- Participate in Year End
- Triage centralized payroll inbox
- Respond to escalated payroll inquiries
- Support Payroll Team with questions
- Provide guidance and training to employees on payroll- related matters.
- Monthly reporting

What You’ll Bring

- 5-7 years
- PCP Certification
- Bilingual Asset
- Transportation Industry Experience an Asset
- High Volume Payroll Processing an Asset
- Multi Provincial Payroll Processing
- Excel Knowledge of V-lookup and Pivot Tables

Along with the following Skills & Competencies:

- Data Entry-Keyboarding
- Inquiry Research/Response
- Payroll Tax Reporting
- Timekeeping/Time Sheets
- Timesheet Auditing
- Experience with UKG would be considered an asset
