Turning Point Youth Services (TPYS) is an accredited, non-profit agency serving youth (12 to 24 years of age) and their families in the east end of Toronto. Turning Point's mission is to empower youth to make positive change, and to accomplish this, it offers a continuum of services for youth and their families with a focus on mental health, housing/sheltering, and youth justice. Turning Point Youth Services and WoodGreen Community Services announced on July 2, 2024 the integration of the two organizations. The combination of these two agencies will enable a more effective and integrated approach to the provision of comprehensive support services for youth in the GTA.

Our Shelter program provides homeless and street-involved male and transgender (who identify as male) youth, ages 16 to 24, with food, accommodation, and information counselling in a safe, structured, and inclusive environment. Programming within the Shelter focuses on addressing the basic needs of youth, developing independent skills, and reconnecting youth to community resources, recreation, and leisure activities. The shelter staff work collaboratively with other community resources involved with the youth to coordinate case management plans and ensure that the client's needs are being met.

- Ensure the safety and well-being of the residents in the facility.

- Complete reports, documentation, and data entry as needed, ensuring that client records are accurately recorded in the Shelter Management Information System (SMIS).

- Participate in the day-to-day operation of the facility.

- Evening shift work is required.

- Perform other duties as required.
