The manager will be one of 4 managers, that would oversee a provincial payroll team with staff located in North, Rural, Saskatoon, and Regina ensuring standardization of processes while addressing localized operational needs. The Payroll Manager is responsible for stabilizing payroll systems, resolving escalated payroll issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role also plays a critical part in providing proactive guidance to operational leaders, addressing payroll-related challenges, and aligning payroll practices with SHA's strategic vision to support patient-first care delivery.Human Resources Exemption: NoExperience Experience in leadership 3 years manager experience in complex computerized financial/payroll environment Education Undergraduate degree or diploma in an applicable field Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) Accounting designation (CA, CPA) Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable Competencies Computer skills Communication skills Mobilizes people, inspires and leads by example Critical thinking skills Interpersonal skills Analytical skills Financial skills Leadership skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action Commitment to quality, safety, and improvement striving towards zero harm Proven ability to collaborate and partner with a wide variety of stakeholders Knowledge in First Nation and Metis history in Saskatchewan Knowledge in the Saskatchewan health care system Committed to delivering on patient and family centred care Knowledge in applicable legislation and standards Knowledge in leadership strategies Ability to adapt to and implement change Knowledge of diverse, culturally safe and representative workforce Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity Knowledge in applicable human resource functions and disciplines Ability to lead and coach others Knowledge in LEAN management system Other Information For more information on the city of Saskatoon please visit https://www.saskatoon.ca/ Travel within Saskatchewan
