Title: Educator – Cultural Safety and Humility
Salary: $97,462 - $114,661 - $131,861 per year
Contract: Term – March 26, 2027
Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday – Friday (core hours 9am – 3pm)
Location: Park Royal, West Vancouver – Hybrid (50% in office). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, spring 2027.

About the role
As Educator, Cultural Safety and Humility, you will contribute knowledge and provide educational guidance and program development in First Nations culture and values to FNHA in all activities related to Cultural Safety and Humility. You will lead the Culture and People Development Education and Training program for FNHA staff. You will work in collaboration with the Director to provide strategic leadership in education, learning strategies, partnerships, policy initiatives, and key projects, including the Tripartite Committee on First Nations Health (TCFNH) Change Leadership Strategy for Cultural Safety and Humility. You are the subject matter expert and represent to others the values and beliefs that drive the Cultural Safety and Humility strategy. You provide advice and guidance to work plans to ensure these values and cultural aspects are embodied in the work of the team. You will initiate, maintain, and develop strong and effective working relationships with colleagues, First Nations communities, and health service partners and organizations, and with federal, provincial, and external health system partners and stakeholders. You will partner with FNHA's Learning and Development team to strategically plan and align with the education programming across FNHA.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be:

- Master's degree in education, Public Health, Political or Social Science, Health or Public Administration, First Nations Governance, Leadership or other related fields of study, plus 6 to 8 years of related advanced experience in senior policy, strategy, or management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with First Nations.
- Relevant and significant experience with traditional wellness and/or cultural healing and education planning, delivery, strategic planning, and community and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in providing advice and guidance in First Nations culture, experience, and visions.
