We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Wastewater Treatment Operator. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining the facility's wastewater treatment system in compliance with environmental regulations.
No prior experience is required—we are willing to train the right candidate If you have a strong work ethic, are eager to learn, and take pride in keeping systems running smoothly, we encourage you to apply.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment system
2. Collect and analyze wastewater samples in accordance with regulatory requirements
3. Monitor and interpret lab results to determine necessary system adjustments
4. Record operational data and observations throughout the day
5. Perform routine housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work environment
6. Conduct inspections and document findings electronically
7. Operate industrial equipment such as a spotter truck and forklift (training provided)
Since the treatment facility operates 24/7, this position may require work on nights, weekends, and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Lift and carry up to 50–75 lbs
2. Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders as needed
3. Work safely in all weather conditions
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or GED required
2. No experience required—willing to train candidates who show motivation and a willingness to learn
3. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
4. Strong verbal communication and basic math skills
5. Ability to work independently and manage workload
6. Must maintain a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation
7. Must obtain a Class 1 Wastewater Operator License from the State of Alabama within 12 months (company support available)
