Accountant - 6 Months to Perm

About the Opportunity

- Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies/issues
- Analyze the data to identify problems occurring in the supply chain process and suggest improvements
- Process purchase orders
- Journal entries, reconciliations
- Assist in the input of production batches, and ensure the bill of materials in the system are up-to-date
- Assist in cycle, quarterly and yearly inventory counts
- Monitor KPI’s and identify the cause of any unexpected variances
- Assist the Business Development Team with new business opportunities analysis
- Assist in the yearly/quarterly budget process with other departments
- Assist in the monthly reporting of budget vs actual, providing comments on variances
- Assist in quarterly/yearly financial reporting
- Ensure accurate completion of the month-end, quarter-end and year-end checklists to support timely closing of accounts
- Assist with Inventory analysis and transactions including, COGS, Inventory adjustments, Inventory obsolescence provisions etc.

About You

- Minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting
- Excel functionalities to include v/h/x lookups, pivots, conditional formatting, index, match, nested formulas, charts are a must
- Business Central experience is an asset

Pay Range
$30 / hour
