We are seeking an intermediate to senior lawyer who practices in corporate law, banking law, commercial law, real estate law, and/or foreclosure work. The candidate must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience practicing law in BC. The ideal candidate should be a motivated self-starter, preferably with an existing practice. However, they will also receive referral work and practice support from our firm's lawyers.

The Associate Counsel role operates on a management fee basis, allowing the lawyer to run their own independent practice while benefiting from our firm's resources and offerings, which include:

- Ongoing mentorship and support from our lawyers
- Access to legal support staff when needed
- A well-equipped office workstation with an adjustable chair
- Direct line, telephone, fax, internet access, and Wi-Fi
- Remote access to files and email upon request
- Use of photocopier, scanner, and printer
- Supply of general office stationery and supplies
- Access to the boardroom, kitchen, and other building amenities
- Website profile and business cards
- Provision of a new computer with two monitors and ongoing IT support paid for by the firm
- Access to accounts for BC Online, LTSA, ESI Law, eConvey, and other software platforms
- Marketing budget (amount may vary based on projected billings)
- Firm presence and infrastructure to support your practice

Responsibilities

- Be friendly and courteous with clients
- Actively seek out and capture new business opportunities
- Work independently while managing cases and clients
- Collaborate effectively with legal support staff
- Thrive in a team-oriented work environment
- Enjoy a positive and fun atmosphere with colleagues at the office

Qualifications

- Member of the Law Society of British Columbia for a minimum of four (4) years
- Be proficient with the MS Office suite of products

Compensation

$200,000 - $300,000 yearly

Logica Law is a beautiful modern law office located on the Yaletown side of False Creek. It is comprised of ten (10) lawyers and six (6) staff. We are energetic and passionate about what we do, and we work in a team environment.
