We are seeking an intermediate to senior lawyer who practices in corporate law, banking law, commercial law, real estate law, and/or foreclosure work. The candidate must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience practicing law in BC. The ideal candidate should be a motivated self-starter, preferably with an existing practice. However, they will also receive referral work and practice support from our firm's lawyers.The Associate Counsel role operates on a management fee basis, allowing the lawyer to run their own independent practice while benefiting from our firm's resources and offerings, which include:Ongoing mentorship and support from our lawyersAccess to legal support staff when neededA well-equipped office workstation with an adjustable chairDirect line, telephone, fax, internet access, and Wi-FiRemote access to files and email upon requestUse of photocopier, scanner, and printerSupply of general office stationery and suppliesAccess to the boardroom, kitchen, and other building amenitiesWebsite profile and business cardsProvision of a new computer with two monitors and ongoing IT support paid for by the firmAccess to accounts for BC Online, LTSA, ESI Law, eConvey, and other software platformsMarketing budget (amount may vary based on projected billings)Firm presence and infrastructure to support your practiceResponsibilitiesBe friendly and courteous with clientsActively seek out and capture new business opportunitiesWork independently while managing cases and clientsCollaborate effectively with legal support staffThrive in a team-oriented work environmentEnjoy a positive and fun atmosphere with colleagues at the officeQualificationsMember of the Law Society of British Columbia for a minimum of four (4) yearsBe proficient with the MS Office suite of productsCompensation$200,000 - $300,000 yearlyLogica Law is a beautiful modern law office located on the Yaletown side of False Creek.
