Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our North of 60 Projects division. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to gain experience on full project life cycle activities, which include scheduling, change management, budget tracking, coordination and other duties.

Where We Work and Live:

This is a hybrid position based in Calgary, Alberta. Occasional travel to project locations will be a requirement of the position.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the management of construction project contracts and ensure compliance with subcontract documents.
- Identify contractual statement of work issues and respond to contract amendments and new customer requirements. Ensure change orders are completed for every change including "zero dollar" changes.
- Formulate and update project documentation including schedules, risk registers, issues logs, etc.
- Complete change management documentation including RFIs, CCNs & COs.
- Ensure all project operations meet and comply with local laws and regulations, federal health and safety legislation, regulations, corporate policies.
- Provide input and feedback on the subcontract documents to the Site/Contract Project Manager, identifying any improvements in wording, scope, clarity etc.
- Maintain a current database of competent, professional subcontractors covering all project requirements, i.e. electrical, carpentry, masonry etc.
- Submit shop drawings for review and approval.
- Maintain accurate, neat and well-organized and documented Project Files.
- Meet with clients to discuss project scopes, troubleshoot equipment/service problems, review engineering design, plan and schedule work, inspect work in progress and conduct final inspections.
- Review subcontractor invoices for standing offer and construction projects and sign-off indicating the work is completed as required and the amounts are correct.

Qualifications:

- A current Level II (Secret) Security Clearance is a requirement.
- Experience working with federal government contracts and processes considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of Oracle, SAP or equivalent.
- 2 or more years of experience in Project Coordination, Contract management or Administration is required.
- Prior experience in scheduling software.
- Prior experience in project controls or planning is considered an asset.
- Ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of work with accuracy, while prioritizing.
- Class 5 Driving License required.
- A 'self-starter' attitude with the willingness to take the initiative will be key in this position.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
