Controls Systems Technician, Design

About this role
We are recruiting for a Control Systems Technician, Design to join our Burnaby or Victoria office. Here's how your role will strengthen our team.
In this role, you will work with Project Managers, design team & field staff to develop system designs, including producing shop drawings, programming, graphics and commissioning building automation control systems.
Your responsibilities
- Engineering, programming, and commissioning building automation systems
- Integrating various systems such as chillers, boilers, and lighting panels
- Data acquisition
- Handle calibration of temperature and humidity sensors
- Train building operators
- Select and size control equipment to meet project requirements
Your experience and skills
- 3+ years direct experience in designing HVAC systems
- 4 years' experience in onsite commissioning of HVAC control systems
- 3 years' experience in the use of MS-Visio/MS-Office & mechanical design package tools such as Auto Cad and Solid Works
- Experience with networking, setting up windows server, configuring routers and switches
- Knowledge of control system design and electrical control system wiring methods
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree/Diploma
- Working knowledge of Reliable Control and/or Schneider EcoStruxure product
- Well organized team player with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Able to speak, read and write English fluently, flexible and able to multi-task in a changing, fast-paced environment

Salary range: $60,000-$90,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered. Let's chat throughout the hiring process and determine the best fit.
