About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Technician to join our Process Equipment Design group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining process equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test process equipment, including LIPEX lab-scale extruders, according to detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repair of process equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve overall system performance.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions (WI), and other documentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of equipment testing, calibration, and maintenance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve processes and techniques.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical systems assembly and maintenance.
- Proven expertise in mechanical assembly, disassembly, and repair techniques.
- Experience with tooling, metrology, and inspection equipment is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials as required.
