At Pier 4 our portfolio of multi-family real estate assets is growing and as a result we are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our team in our Cambridge office. We are looking for a Marketing Manager, who wants to be part of our exciting journey and is truly engaged in being an advocate of and executing, best-in-class property marketing.

At Pier 4 we aspire to be the leaders in this space and at the same time we are grounded by years of expertise in property management, relationship-oriented business practices and a drive for continuous improvement. We maintain our properties with a focus on revitalization to assure our residents feel comfortable in their homes.

The Marketing Manager reports to the VP, Property Operations and works closely with the corporate marketing team to ensure brand compliance and consistency in tone and manner. The Marketing Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to; creating and executing a comprehensive marketing plan for Pier 4 Residential, a heavy focus on maintaining and managing the Pier 4 Residential website, rent sinc, Rental.ca and RENTCafe (planned implementation June 2025). RENTCafe is part of the Yardi Marketing Suite and is a marketing and leasing software platform featuring websites (with a custom CMS), social media, event management, email & SMS communications, on-line leasing and a resident portal.

Responsibilities

- Create and execute a comprehensive marketing plan for Pier 4 Residential aligned with corporate marketing strategy, brand guidelines and tone and manner

- Work closely with the Corporate Marketing team, Leasing Specialists and Asset Management to project manage and implement website updates and SEO

- Ensure property information is accurate and up to date on all Corporate and Property websites

- Upload and edit content (property and neighbourhood descriptions, amenities, photos, slide shows, etc.) for all Pier 4 properties

- Proficient in Google Analytics and other tracking codes

- Test and implement new features such as interactive site maps, ILS syndication, etc.

- Work closely with the Property Management and Marketing teams in the creation of flyers, signs and resident communications

- Provide social media content to enhance awareness in the communities we serve

- Compile key data by property and suite for the CMS File Management and Data Capture

- Work with the marketing team to create and update marketing collateral material using Canva

- Monitor resident satisfaction survey platform and pull reports

- Coordinate involvement in rental association events and promotions

- Assist the Property Administration department as needed.

- Identify opportunities to leverage technology and create operational efficiencies.

Education, Qualification and Experience

- University degree, preferably in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or similar

- 5 - 10 years experience

- Strong attention to detail

- Must be organized, efficient, can prioritize, have excellent follow-up and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

- Strong project management and time management skills

- Good knowledge of Microsoft office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and PPT

- An understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, YouTube

- Previous experience using a CMS (for example, WordPress)

- Previous experience using InDesign and the Adobe suite of products

- Experience in digital marketing is considered an asset

- Willing to travel to our East Coast properties as required

- Attend to our Ontario properties as required for photo’s, signage etc…
