Job Description

We seek a Civil Engineer with interest in trenchless conveyance and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects for our Vancouver office. Projects include large‑diameter water and wastewater conveyance, tunneling, trenchless installation, municipal roads, district energy piping, hydraulic analysis, hydro‑energy recovery, and more.

Duties

- Act as Project Engineer/Manager on assignments.

- Support technicians and designers to ensure contract drawings are accurately prepared and checked.

- Prepare written technical reports, including feasibility studies, concept design, detailed design, and design‑criteria reports.

- Prepare contract documents and construction drawings.

- Prepare funding submissions.

- Oversee and coordinate work for Civil Technologists.

- Perform construction administration/inspection.

- Manage project tasks—client communications, schedules, budgets, and reporting.

- Achieve budget compliance on assigned engineering projects.

- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients in writing and verbally.

- Coordinate sub‑consultants and various project disciplines on larger projects.

- Execute projects in accordance with company guidelines and standards.

- Participate in marketing strategies and business development with clients.

- Assist in writing proposals to procure new projects.

Job Requirements

- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post‑secondary institution.

- Eligible for professional licensing with EGBC as a P.Eng.

- 10+ years of civil design experience.

- 10+ years of experience and proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.

- 10+ years of experience in design, specifications, cost estimating, tendering, and construction.

- Minimum 10 years of on‑site experience for civil infrastructure construction projects.

- Proven communication and organization skills.

- Committed team player.

- Track record in managing clients and developing client relationships.

- Proven people skills for both internal and external clients.

- Motivated to grow career.

- Ability to liaise effectively and clearly with clients, both written and verbal.

- Comfortable working on a variety of project types in a variety of disciplines and sectors across Canada.
