POSITION SUMMARY

The working line lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of the production line, under the direction of the production Supervisor. This position is responsible for leading a team of production workers on their assigned line, ensuring that production schedule and goals are met while maintaining high-quality standards, while monitoring production activity, identifying process problems, troubleshooting causes. Reporting inefficiencies and issues to maintenance, quality and production Supervisor, to support and develop resolutions.

Responsibilities:

- Lead, train, coach, and oversee a team of production workers, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities and are motivated to meet production targets.
- Operate production machinery.
- Maintain accurate production records and other documentation required for quality control and performance tracking.
- Support maintenance team when required to ensure minimal downtime.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, increased efficiency, and waste reduction, working with Management to implement relevant improvements.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and between shifts, ensuring that everyone is aligned with production goals and expectations.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and providing necessary training to team members.

Education/Skills/Experience:

- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food, beverage, or plastics industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Proven leadership skills to manage performance and inspire team to achieve results. Communication skills both verbally and written.
- Strong operating skills in organizing, planning and time management, as well as getting work done through others.
- Working knowledge of computers.
