Salary: $75K
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, interviews, background checks, offer coordination, and new hire orientation
- Manage offboarding activities, ensuring a smooth and compliant exit process
- Act as a key HR contact for employee inquiries, performance review support (via PerformYard), and policy guidance
- Support employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion
- Coordinate service awards, recognition programs, and RRSP eligibility tracking
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date HR records, including employee files and HRIS data
- Assist in policy development, communication, and compliance
- Contribute to annual compensation reviews and manage Total Rewards statement preparation and distribution
- Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries during enrolment and life events
- Help drive employee engagement, wellness initiatives, internal campaigns, and staff appreciation events
- Actively participate in the firm’s social committee, including event planning and vendor coordination
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team and act as backup to the HR Manager as needed
Qualifications
- University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field required
- CHRP/CHRL designation or working towards certification
- 3+ years of related experience, with specific experience in conducting full‑cycle recruitment and selection
- Solid knowledge of Human Resources best practices, policies, procedures and employment‑related legislation such as the Ontario Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, and Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. ADP WorkForce Now)
- Strong skills in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of mail merge
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and use discretion with highly confidential material
- Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with excellent interpersonal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
