Manager, Financial Planning

Job Description

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to be based out of our Head Office location in Dieppe, NB. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will develop and deliver comprehensive financial tools - such as budgets and forecasts - to support informed decision-making. This role will play a key part in planning and managing the annual budget process, as well as executing the monthly forecasting cycle.

Responsibilities

- Develop and deliver comprehensive financial tools to support informed decision‑making

- Provide guidance in developing financial models for budgets, business proposals and growth opportunities while offering financial support and advice to other departments

- Manage the financial planning team and coordinate the analysis of financial results and identification of business opportunities

- Facilitate special projects to improve process efficiency and performance

- Review and analyze the cost efficiency initiatives and projects

- Support analysis on projects and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

- Education: University Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline

- Experience: 7-10 years of combined financial planning and managerial experience required

- CPA designation is required

- Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)

- Exceptional critical thinking, problem solving and prioritizing skills

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop team
