Job Description

1. Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
2. Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
3. Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks.
4. Provide problem-solving services to network users.
5. Implement data, software and hardware security procedures.
6. Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records.
7. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
8. Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade Web-server hardware and software.
9. Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet.
10. Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance.
11. Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations.
12. Supervise technical staff.
13. Provide advanced troubleshooting for all types of technical inquiries, service requests, and issues involving computers, networks, smartphones/tablets, enterprise applications/systems.
14. Contribute to team innovation through ideas for process improvement and efficiency.
15. Develop, implement, and/or participate in the preparation knowledge base articles and/or documentation for Service Desk use; make recommendations for improvements.
16. Document all problems and solutions in the Service Desk Ticketing System.
17. Build relationships with customers.
18. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
19. Complete company’s trainings and certifications as required.
20. Work with vendors to complete service requests.
21. Work with UTM/Firewalls: Fortinet and Sophos.
22. Recommend, schedule, and perform network/systems improvements.
23. Create architecture and solution designs with the latest technologies in the areas of: Advanced Networking, SaaS, IaaS (Azure), VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Storage and Backup.
24. Perform Quality Assurance on Pre-Sales team architecture.

Requirements

1. Education: Completion of a college or other program in computer science, network administration, web technology or a related field is required.
2. Experience: At least two years of experience in the computer network field is required.
3. Strong analytical and customer service skills.
4. Knowledge/Ability of Cloud Solutions (365 Exchange, Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive) is required.
5. Knowledge/Ability in Network Technology (Firewalls, Switches, Access Points) is required.
6. Computer and technology knowledge: Virtualization, Device drivers, Networking software, Extranet, Intranet, Servers, Desktop applications, Enterprise Applications Integration (EAI), File management software, Security software, Multimedia software, Presentation software, Mail server software, Communication software, Business diagram software, Desktop publishing software, Database software, Data analysis software, MS Windows, and Spreadsheet.

Salary

$35.46 hourly, 37.5 hours per week.

Important Information

Flexibility in schedule is required. Work schedule will be from Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This includes 30 minutes of unpaid lunchtime.
