Large-scale enterprise-wide project to accelerate personalization capabilities across our stack (targeted propensity-driven lists, offer journey orchestration). This role will be sitting within the Engineering function of an agile Project Squad helping identify business needs and translating them into technical solutions across multiple stakeholders. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: - In partnership with Technology Delivery and Product partners, lead the backlog refinement, execution and delivery through effective story grooming, UAT planning, technical and business knowledge and stakeholder management. - Facilitate offer lifecycle management and GTM requirements gathering and design sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract requirements and turning them into use cases, business rules, user stories, sequence diagrams and process flows - Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats. - Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications. - Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures. - Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions. - Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures. - You will be directing day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with our risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits and communicate it throughout the team - You will create an environment in which your team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to risk and compliance Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have: - Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. - 5+ years of previous experience as a Business Analyst, experience in large enterprise organizations, FI preferred with a focus on Salesforce Loyalty Cloud - 1-2+ years of experience with planning/analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancement - Experience working cross-functionally with a variety of end-users - Good to have - Experience with Personalization/Digital/GTM/offers - Good to have - Experience with Jira/Confluence - Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization - Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate and work closely with external vendors - Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions - Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction - Good time management and organizational skills to effectively manage high-scale projects What's in it for you? - Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Allyship - We strive to create an inclusive culture where every employee is empowered to reach their fullest potential, respected for who they are, and are embraced through bias-free practices and inclusive values across Scotiabank.
