Your Opportunity at SECURE
As our Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving and supporting the growth of our business by identifying and evaluating opportunities for customer-driven solutions that are cost-effective. This individual will help define key business opportunities for Secure Energy Services Production Chemical business line.
This role will support the Dawson Creek area.
The Team
The Specialty Chemical group comprises dedicated professionals who excel in one-on-one sales engagements. The team is adept in problem-solving and has a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Each member embodies a strong work ethic and a proactive "get up and work" mentality, ensuring unparalleled service delivery and customer support.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position supporting the surrounding areas of Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Please note this position is based in Dawson Creek and requires relocation if you do not live in the area. It is not a fly-in-fly-out or short rotation assignment.
A Day in The Life
- Develop strategies for maximizing the account's profitability while creating, implementing, and managing an account plan in conjunction with the business plan.
- Maintain inventory levels, ordering and delivering products to site as required.
- Source business opportunities.
- Continually assess customer service levels to ensure clients receive the highest level of service.
- Meet with customers/potential customers to execute sales personally to develop, foster, and nurture strong client relationships through ongoing contact and follow-up.
- Institute programs to identify potential customers and ability to make cold sales calls.
- Proactively determine current and future customer needs.
- Continually learn new information and develop new strategies.
- Provide weekly updates to the sales, operations, and technical departments about customer activity, plans, and future business.
- Use basic lab equipment to test and qualify products to be used in field programs.
- Engage in community relations.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- A High School diploma or General Education Diploma is required; additional post-secondary education is considered an asset.
- Experience in oilfield operations is considered an asset.
- Previous Chemical Sales experience is considered an asset.
- A valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites as needed.
- Adherence to all Occupational Health and Safety standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to prepare technical reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and negotiation skills.
- Confident, highly motivated, and determined with a good business sense and professional manner.
- Knowledge of production processes practiced in Canada is an asset.
- Detail-oriented with demonstrated interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
