Position Summary

The Supply Chain Manager oversees purchasing and logistics operations at the plant, ensuring raw material availability, optimizing supply chain processes, and leading a high-performing team. You will foster strong collaboration across departments and with suppliers to maintain supply chain continuity and drive continuous improvement initiatives. As part of the site leadership team, this position contributes to strategic planning and talent development.

This role requires ons work 5 days/week at our Stittsville location.

What You'll do as a Supply Chain Manager

* Oversees Purchasing and Logistics operations at the plant, including:Designing and optimizing procurement and logistics processes
* Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing corrective actions
* Leading and mentoring the procurement and logistics team

* Ensures supply chain continuity by fostering strategic partnerships with suppliers and developing contingency plans in collaboration with Production and Engineering teams.
* Drives cross-functional collaboration with Production, Planning, R&D, Life Sciences, and Quality departments to enhance process efficiency and resource utilization.
* Guarantees timely availability of raw materials for production by optimizing order quantities, delivery schedules, and inventory turnover.
* Defines and maintains purchasing parameters within the ERP system to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of raw materials.
* Establishes team priorities and provides strong leadership in process development, problem-solving, and project execution.
* Conducts annual performance reviews and supports team members' professional growth through targeted training and coaching initiatives.
* Leads continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing costs, improving delivery timelines, and mitigating supply chain and logistics risks.
* Contributes to site leadership as a member of the local management team, supporting the Director of Operations in setting strategic priorities and promoting cross-departmental collaboration.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required
* Bachelor's Degree.
* 10 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain activities in a manufacturing environment.
