**SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Assurance and Training Manager will oversee all aspects of the quality system, ensuring performance, accuracy and customer centricity while reinforcing a culture of employee empowerment and growth.
**RESPONSBILITIES**:
- Ensure that all team members within the warehouse complete their job duties with quality in mind
- You shall provide training in best practices, ensuring that all team members are aware of and responsible for managing their quality standards, and training staff members on quality control processes and policies
- Design, implement and monitor the Quality Assurance formats and standards
- Develop and manage training strategy and programs to determine training needs
- Meet all client agreed upon KPIs and performance parameters
- Ability to observe, analyze and give constructive feedback
- To identify areas of development and under performance and take corrective actions
- To ensure quality reporting and work with operations to build highly effective measurement system
- Manage and lead a quality and training team - ensuring products meets customer requirements and staff have knowledge and training sufficient to exceed customer expectations
- Formulate quality policy and programs and provide guidance and feedback to Operations
- Provide information about the quality systems and policies to the plant to ensure continued compliance
- Write, maintain and self-audit the QMS to ensure compliance and change management
- Oversee W.I. and SOP maintenance and improvement to align and ensure operational expectation and accountability can be measured
- Promote quality achievement and performance improvements across the organization through implementation of quality programs and initiatives
- Oversee Quality investigations and root causing quality escapes, including corrective actions and closure
- Work closely with Safety, Operations, HR and Compliance to ensure staff are compliant with all quality policies and process requirements for customer deliverables
- Manage Company certifications/licenses/regulatory compliance through effective program management (OHSA, ISO, CWP, CGP, Business Firearms, SAM registration, Carrier License, etal)
- Continuous improvement initiatives focusing on cost reduction and performance improvements with accountability to baseline achievement
- Maintain a Controlled Goods security clearance
- Shall adhere to all company Policies, Rules and guidelines
- Ensure quality performance metrics are reached in an effective, efficient and safe manner
- Any other duties as assigned
**HEALTH & SAFETY**:
- Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act including Safety, Violence and Harassment laws
- Work in a healthy and safe manner following HCL’s policies and procedures
- Always wear or use protective equipment
- Report any hazards you find in the workplace to your Supervisor
- Must not use or operate equipment in a manner that would endanger yourself or others
- Must not put other workers at risk by your actions
**EDUCATION /JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE**:
- Preferably a College diploma in Business Management with a focus on Supply Chain/Quality/HR Management or the equivalent in combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years Quality Management experience
- Willingness to attend and participate in training and development programs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word)
