To support us on our journey, Sinai Health System is looking for a Clinical Coordinator to support our Mount Sinai Fertility Program.

As a member of the nursing Leadership team, the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Mount Sinai Fertility Program, reports directly to the Manager. As a key member of the nursing leadership team, the Clinical Coordinator will participate in and support the development and implementation of departmental goals and quality and safety programs; professional development initiatives, performance management and recruitment/selection process, and program development. In collaboration with the MSF Leadership team, she/he is responsible for staff scheduling, payroll submissions, and day-to-day operations and staff support.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Supports and maintains the philosophy, goals, objectives and standards of the Department of Nursing
- Responsible for the daily co-ordination of Unit activities, flow, safe assignments, ensuring break coverage etc.
- Supports Team Leaders of each site with issues regarding patient flow, patient complaints, risk issues, supply and/or equipment needs
- Orders required supplies and equipment as approved by the Clinical Director
- Responsible for scheduling of Registered Nurse, phlebotomy, service assistants, sonographers, pharmacy technicians and for ensuring short-term and long-term staffing needs. Ensures the clinical director is up to date on any critical issues.
- Participates with Clinical Director and other members of the leadership team in professional development initiatives, performance management of staff nurses, recruitment and hiring and facilitates return to work plans
- Collaborates with the Clinical Director to achieve a balanced budget and to ensure fiscally responsible product management; works with staff and others in the implementation of new products and technologies
- Participates in development, implementation and evaluation of quality and safety initiatives
- In collaboration with the Clinical Director, participates in Occupational Health and Safety Unit assessments and interventions, and in Quality and Risk Management as it relates to safety reporting and managing patient/family concerns
- Participates in Nursing Department and unit-based committees such as the Unit Council, Magnet and Accreditation
- Participates in process improvement activities for the units
- Performs other position related duties as required

- Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BScN (preferred)
- 3 - 5 years recent nursing experience in Fertility (preferred)/Women’s & Infants Health
- Previous leadership experience preferred (e.g. formal leadership role, team leader or resource nurse)
- Membership in professional nursing organizations and evidence of continuing education
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient and family centered care and customer service principles
- Demonstrated evidence of mentoring skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and customer services skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent decision making, problem recognition, problem solving skills, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to collaborative practice
- Ability to work effectively and independently under stressful conditions
- Demonstrated commitment to Patient Experience, Quality and Safety, Financial Health, and Access and Efficiency
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
