**Position Description**

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Generalist will assist the HR team by overseeing the development and implementation of HR guidelines and policies with the objective of achieving company goals and values. They will also manage the current and future employee pool in terms of succession and development planning, and recruitment and talent acquisition processes.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Participate in developing organizational HR guidelines and procedures.
- Recommend strategies to motivate employees, including storefront and management employees.
- Organize and plan annual and probationary employee performance reviews to determine pay for performance compensation and employee development plans.
- Investigate complaints brought forward by employees.
- Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
- Manage the organization’s employee database and prepare reports.
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity and HR metrics.
- Assist with budget monitoring, payroll, and other HR functions.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Perform work in store as required.

- BSc/BA in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or relevant field
- Proven experience working in HR
- Strong understanding of HR management principles, including recruitment, employment legislation, health and safety legislation, etc.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- CHRP certification is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
