The Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (EDI) Specialist will understand and proactively support the strategic goals of the firm as they relate to planning, executing, and managing of EDI programs and initiatives. The EDI Specialist will be responsible for drafting EDI communications, building awareness, and culture competency, supporting reporting initiatives, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders in delivering against the day to day responsibilities and strategic priorities of the role. This role will also be asked to regularly support and, on occasion, lead additional EDI projects as assigned.

The EDI Specialist can work from any of our offices across Canada. Occasional pre-authorized overtime may be required to meet client needs. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the EDI team in the day to day delivery and execution of the various programs and initiatives.
- Collaborating across the Firm’s Human Resources, Professional Development, Marketing, and Analytics teams to deliver against identified tasks and projects, often playing a project lead role coordinating the required inputs.
- Supporting the EDI team in drafting initial EDI related communications and maintaining the EDI communications calendar.
- Drafting and maintaining the EDI events calendar including executing against key deliverable related to those events and partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting the EDI team in key learning and development, engagement and analytics projects.
- Providing expertise, planning, support, and guidance in the day-to-day operations and implementation of EDI initiatives.
- Educating, guiding, evaluating and championing behaviours that support diversity, equity, inclusion and fostering a culture of belonging.
- Supporting the development of training tools/materials.
- Researching and maintaining knowledge of EDI related issues, emerging trends, and bringing forward best practices.
- Additional duties and project as assigned.

**Required Knowledge and Experience**
- Post secondary diploma in Human Resources coupled with 2+ years of EDI experience preferably within a professional services firm. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable
- Demonstrated knowledge in EDI principles, related employment legislation and up-to-date knowledge in this area
- Understanding of Professional Services environment with a preference for those who have tangible law firm experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
