PRECISE (Prepare, REact, Collect, Innovate, Share, and Engage Pandemic Platform) is a recently funded multi-institution project that aims to advance pandemic preparedness and biomanufacturing in Canada. PRECISE is part of the HI3 Canadian Hub for Health Intelligence & Innovation in Infectious Diseases, led by the University of Toronto.

PRECISE’s Directors at Sinai Health, Drs. Jennie Johnstone and Anne-Claude Gingras, are working with a team of > 60 researchers across multiple organizations in Canada, along with partners in public health and public/private sectors, to improve diagnostics. We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Project Manager with expertise in fundamental and/or basic infectious disease research to coordinate the PRECISE project across all partner institutions.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Clinical Research Administration
- Exercises professional judgment in regulatory conduct of research activities and ensures adherence to local, national, and international regulations on the conduct of research studies (PIPA, PIPEDA, ICH/GCP).
- Develops, distributes, and maintains study-specific regulatory documents including protocol study manuals, SOPs and other study-specific tools and resources.
- Communicates with the Research Ethics Board at the participating hospitals as required.
- Ensures informed consent documents and other administrative documents, including institutional and sponsor requirements.

2. Project Management
- Sets goals to meet project deadlines in collaboration with the research team.
- Ensures that work plans and timelines are followed by the research team.
- Coordinates and monitors study progress including the tracking of study targets and milestones to help ensure they are met.
- Coordinates financial reporting and inter-institutional fund transfers
- Prepares project reports for management, sponsors, or other authorities.
- Assists the Director and Co-Director in providing financial oversight of projects.

3. Communication and human resources
- Plans, manages, and handles communications related to research projects in collaboration with the Director and Co-Director.
- Coordinates PRECISE investigator meetings.
- Assists the Director and Co-Director with effective human resource allocation through recruitment, selection, training, and performance management.
- Builds and fosters effective working relationships with study sites, related study personnel and other stakeholders.
- Acts as a resource to other PRECISE staff across institutions.
- As required, Assists the Director and Co-Director in supervising other study team members, including data management staff and summer students.
- Other duties as assigned by Director and Co-Director as needed.
- Job Requirements**Qualifications**:

- PhD in Infectious Disease, Microbiology, Immunology, Cell Biology or a related field or healthcare professional degree
- At least 5 years of experience in clinical and/or basic research with 2 years in research management or equivalent
- Experience in infectious/communicable disease research preferred
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software tools
- Knowledge of database management software and/or REDCap is an asset
- Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
