Administrative Temporary Full-time Replacement Contract Position (April 17, 2023 - December 24, 2024)

The Manager, Curriculum & Business Development, School of Business - Continuing Education works closely with the department Chair and wider team to develop and execute plans for sustainable, targeted growth of the department. This position will be accountable for project coordination and execution of curriculum development to support new programming and major revisions to existing curriculum, ensuring timelines, budget and deliverables are met, while meeting quality and procedural requirements. The position will directly supervise the role of Project Coordinator, Manufacturing Leadership. This position will also work closely with the Chair and team in designing and executing targeted marketing plans to successfully launch new course and program offerings to grow enrollment.

**Responsibilities**:
**Facilitate the initiation, development and implementation of new and revised academic courses, micro-credentials, programs, and other professional learning opportunities**
- Conducts ongoing research to identify changing student demographics and needs, competitor offerings, and gaps within the marketplace
- Based on evidence, creates proposals for future course, micro-credential, program, and other professional learning opportunities closely aligned to the School of Business strategic plan and annual priorities
- Provides leadership in the design, development, and creation of new course materials and major revision of existing materials, as per program development priorities
- Manages capacity and makes recommendations for project plans to maximize resource and deliverable efficiency
- Project manages new course developments from conception to final build - ensuring quality completion of course outlines, content, evaluations, marking schemes, etc.
- Manages and tracks multiple curriculum development projects using appropriate project management practices, focused on School of Business priorities and timelines
- Builds course content into eConestoga learning management system, ensuring the course meets technical standards

**Provide resource coordination and engagement to support curriculum development that meets quality and programming standards.**
- Assists with facilitation and coordination of all quality assurance processes for the department, including Annual Program Reflections (APR), Major Program Reviews (MPR), Program Advisory Committee meetings, etc.
- Develops and executes action plans for content design and revision, resulting from quality assurance processes (e.g., MPR)
- Conducts meetings and needs assessments with leadership, internal resources, and external resources to ensure course scope and currency
- Works with Chair, relevant industry partners, and internal academic administration to articulate new or revise existing service agreements and memorandums of understanding
- Identifies appropriate curriculum developers - ensuring consistent contracting with a clear outline and measurement of deliverables
- Provides day-to-day support and guidance to curriculum developers to ensure appropriate resources and information are provided
- Problem solves and appropriately escalates curriculum project challenges to the Chair in a timely manner
- Coordinates and facilitates meetings and workflow between college resources and curriculum developers to ensure course and program standards and procedures are being met
- Ensures that course creation and curriculum developers effectively utilize and integrate internal resources and supports in course creation
- Ensures curriculum developed meets Conestoga standards and expectations, including eConestoga Essential Elements

**Develops and executes targeted marketing plans to support launch and growth of new offerings**
- Collaborates with marketing department, alumni services, employer services, external partners and other teams to devise, plan, and carry out marketing tactics such as: virtual and in-person marketing events, marketing collateral (e.g., news releases), website content, digital marketing campaigns, social media posts, and other relevant marketing as identified

**Provides direct supervision to the role of Project Coordinator, Manufacturing Leadership**
- Recruits, hires, and provides effective college-wide and departmental onboarding
