Why Fraser Health?:
The **Health Informatics** **Lead** will serve as the acute and community site liaison, communicating regarding outages and IT production changes that would affect them, gaining their endorsement/approval, and coordinating the timing and notification of the implementation of the change. They would also act as a change coordinator where there is not a defined Fraser Health owner, for example, for Provincial Health Services Authority changes, identifying the impacted parties, defining and providing supporting information, representing the sites and Health Informatics in Change Advisory Board discussions, and preparing, or supporting the preparation of, related communications.

**Responsibilities**:

- Acts as the primary scheduled change liaison between the site leadership, site coordinator, Fraser Health Informatics and Change Management team and Provincial Health Service Authority project management and change owners.
- Provide site liaison services when work is scheduled outside regularly scheduled downtimes; when site operational services may be interrupted or unavailable; when end users may be effective; or when technical individuals will work on-site.
- Coordinate efforts to prepare the impacted site and ensure they are engaged for a scheduled change.
- Keeps the change management team informed about the progress of site liaison activities.
- Ensure prompt response to inquiries from site leadership, site coordinator, project managers, change owners and change management.
- Reviews change requests to ensure information is provided with sufficient details, including why downtime is required, impacts to end users, downtime durations, start and end times, what specific areas within sites will be impacted, and what is the mitigation plan for risks.
- Assess the complexity and associated interdependencies between multiple change requests impacting multiple sites
- Communicates with site leadership, informing them of a scheduled change.
- Arranges meetings with the change owners and affected sites to discuss requested changes.
- Provides strategic planning to improve site liaison services over time.
- Participates on assigned internal and external committees as required and works collaboratively as a Health Informatics and Information Technology department member.
- Creates knowledge articles providing a step-by-step guide on handling a change requests by proving scenarios.

**Qualifications**

The following additional skills and experience will be an asset in this position:

- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Systems Management, Business, Computer Science, or Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

This** full-time** opportunity is located in** Surrey, BC at the Central City Tower** accessible via Skytrain. A significant portion of the work can be performed from home as an option as agreed with your manager.
