Bookkeeper

**Job description**
We are seeking a Bookkeeper who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the financial health of the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Maintain and update financial records and ledgers
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies
- Generate financial reports and summaries
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Provide administrative support as needed
- Preparing and processing payroll for employees including collecting timesheet data, calculating wages and ensuring compliance with company and provincial policies and laws. Handling all enquiries for payroll including time off requests and benefits. Experience with Payworks preferred.
- Collaboration in regards to Integrating New ERP and HR Systems
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus
