Bookkeeper - Part Time

Responsibilities:
- Must be available on Mondays, Tuesdays from 8:30-4:30.
- Process Provider payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment
- Process Staff Payroll, adhering to payroll schedules and regulations
- Perform parent billing reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies
- Process parent payments, recording and reconciling them with invoices
- Pay invoices and bills promptly, maintaining accurate records
- Regularly reconcile banking statements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
- Prepare agency files for audit, organizing and maintaining necessary documentation
- Liaise with auditors during the audit process, providing requested information and addressing inquiries
- Prepare reports related to grants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements
- Complete Subsidy reports accurately and submit them within specified deadlines
- Respond to billing inquiries from parents, providing prompt and helpful assistance.
qualification Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software (Sage 50) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with government funding and subsidy processes is an asset.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 16-24 per week
**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
