**WHAT WILL YOU DO**:

- Establish and maintain an energy management policy.
- Devise a strategy for reducing energy costs and environmental impact resulting from energy consumption.
- Identify and detail projects for reducing energy consumption together with the relevant business cases.
- Maintain a register of energy saving opportunities and measure and verify the savings achieved.
- Monitor technologies and products which have energy saving value.
- Monitor regulations and policies both governmental and commercial which impact the company’s energy management program.
- Issue and review proposals and negotiate with bidders to optimize value of spending.
- Support energy audits to attain a database of infrastructure/energy usage for each building together with energy conservation/savings opportunities.
- Monitor weather patterns and statistics to allow forecasting of energy usage.
- Work with utility brokers and companies to devise a cost-effective gas and electricity procurement program.
- Review consumption histories, detect anomalies and provide corrective initiatives.
- Assist with the development of utility budgets together with ongoing tracking and variance management.
- Work with utility vendors and accounting team to refine and improve on bill processing cycle, accruals, and data quality.
- Support selection, design and deployment of retrofit capital work for the purpose of reducing energy usage.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including accounting, capital, and operations on policy, projects, and analysis on.

**WHAT WILL YOU NEED**:

- Will have some or all the following:

- Registered Professional Engineer or Registered Certified Technologist.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation through the Association of Energy Engineers.
- 5 years of experience in the energy management role.
- Demonstrated interest and enthusiasm related to energy efficiency.
- Ability to develop comprehensive business cases and reports.
- Experience in financial analysis and managing budgets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written, plus time management skills.
