Greater Sudbury, Canada N'Swakamok Native Friendship Centre Full time

**Job Purpose**:
The Cultural Resource Coordinator (CRC) will coordinate and support all aspects of cultural knowledge transfer within N’Swakamok Native Friendship Centre. They will provide traditional teachings and ceremonies in a safe and acceptable environments and also coordinate access to Elders and Traditional Knowledge Keepers to meet the needs of N’Swakamok Native Friendship Centre, community, children, youth and families. The CRC will also work to promote cultural awareness, safety and competency within N’Swakamok Native Friendship Centre.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong knowledge and awareness of Indigenous culture and history with particular emphasis on family violence, child welfare, the impacts of trauma, Indigenous youth engagement and community outreach
- Knowledge and experience working with urban Indigenous children, youth and families in a healing and reconciliation capacity
- Exceptional knowledge of Indigenous historical and contemporary issues
- Post-Secondary education in Indigenous Studies and/or combination of equivalent and relevant education
- Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated and related work experience within an Indigenous organization or community
- Experience in presentation and facilitation of groups and workshops
- Experience in program planning, development, implementation, data collection and evaluation
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of Indigenous language an asset
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Excellent computer skills
- Must possess valid driver’s license, have access to reliable vehicle and be willing to travel if required
- A clear criminal reference check (CPIC) which includes screening for vulnerable positions will be a condition of the employment offer
