**POSITION OVERVIEW**

The Professional Resource Coordinator will provide support and direction to staff of all CLGS programs in the designated hours of the evening and weekends. The full-time working schedule is Friday to Monday. The Professional Resource Coordinator responds to calls from staff seeking direction or support in situations relating to supported individuals’ well-being, maintenance with the home, and backfilling short-term staff absences. The Professional Resource Coordinator will provide training and support to all areas of CLGS in accordance with the philosophies, policies, and the Collective Agreement. The Professional Resource Coordinator must respect the rights, confidentiality, and dignity of everyone in keeping with the policies, mission, and value statements of CLGS.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Provide direction and guidance to staff during the evening and night hours during the week and through the weekend to ensure programs are adequately staffed, participant needs are met and manage problems as presented.
- Provide direction and training as needed to weekend part time staff including scenario-based training.
- Facilitate the direct training, evaluation, and feedback of staff including the direct training, evaluation and feedback of new part time hires working weekends.
- Coach and mentor staff and document any relevant information.
- Ensure that employees abide by the health and safety policy and follow safe procedures in the workplace.
- Develop strong knowledge and understanding of our approaches, and person supported protocols, the Collective Agreement (CA), Employment Standards Act (ESA) and any other relevant legislation pertaining to scheduling.
- Provide support to the Directors on assigned projects and tasks.
- Respond to calls related to staff absences and backfill vacancies as necessary, redeploy staff as needed, and support program-specific scheduling needs (e.g., coverage needed for appointments, outings, etc.) in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Agreement (CA), Employment Standards Act (ESA), CLGS’s policies and procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the scheduling software system to ensure optimal utilization and to act as a resource to users needing assistance.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation and communications around schedules and shift changes including daily approvals, sick calls, and shift changes.
- Be knowledgeable with program specific and CLGS policies, procedures and collective agreement and work within applicable frameworks.
- Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Perform other duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Completed diploma/degree in a field related to social services. Other educational backgrounds may be considered where the incumbent has related experience and qualifications.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in providing support to those with developmental disabilities in a variety of roles including those that demonstrate coordination and/or leadership.
- Experience should include staff scheduling/shift filling, staff training, coaching others, knowledge of participant needs and strategies to support them, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
